An Orchid Council of New Zealand Organised Event

A major orchid event is to take place in New Zealand in 2010. The Orchid Council of New Zealand has announced that the next national orchid show in this country will be held in Palmerston North over the period of 6th - 13th September 2010.

These National Shows, which have a strong international flavour, have been held in various locations in New Zealand on a 5 yearly cycle. At previous events held in Auckland in 1980, Wellington in 1985, spectacularly again with the 13th World Conference in Auckland in 1990, Palmerston North in 1995 then Hamilton in 2000 and 2005, New Zealand orchid growers proved convincingly that their combined efforts can produce displays featuring plantsof quality with ingenuity of presentation equal to anywhere in the world.
